This is my first template for my magazine front cover which is a mock up that I plan to include different conventionally features found in real media text. This includes:
To improve on this draft, I will add some more coverlines so the magazine doesn't look to plain. |
My second mock is quite different to the first one where I will be adding more coverlines at the right hand side of the front cover.
Both of my templates will be using a black and yellow theme colours which fit with the real media text and the hip-pop genre. To improve this I will be putting more image on the front cover in order to make it more attractive to my audience |
My first template for my double page spread contains conventionally features such as:
The main image will take up the entire of the left hand side and the text will be place on the main image. I've decided to add a strapline across the double page spread in order to take up most of the double page spread. To improve this template I've decided to add a album cover at the bottom of the double page spread article to make it more visually attractive and to take up some of the space. |
The second template also follows all the conventionally features needed to make a successful double page spread which includes:
This template is different to my first mainly due to the fact that the quote will go across the main image instead of on the image which will be easier for my audience to read. Also instead of on the left hand side the main image will be on the right which will take up the whole of the right hand side of the double page spread. |
In my first mock with contains all of the conventionally features of a content page which includes:
The template is balance with half image and half text in order to set the requirement of my audience. But to enhance this template I will add more images to make it more visually better. |
I chose to use this as the first mock draft because the layout of the magazine looks visual. The masterhead is bright and colourful which attract my attending audience.
This photoshop mock up is successful due to the bright use of colours which help attract my aimed audience. I make sure that I followed all the necessary convention to insure that it look like a hip-pop magazine front cover. To improve this I will change the magazine due to the feedback that I got as it doesn't look conventionally. |
I've chose to use this as my first mock draft simply due to the layout of the magazine looking very attract and visual. The title of the double page spread is very bright and colourful which attracts my audience .
This photoshop mock up is successful mainly because the colours are consist and are bright which attract my audience I made sure that I followed all the necessary conventions to insure that it look like a real media text, however I will to change the font of the title due to feedback that I have receive saying that it is not conventions |
I've chose to use this as my first mock draft due to the fact that it uses all the conventions however is quite there yet due to empty space they I will like to fill
In my final version I will changes the layout as I did get some feedback saying the layout doesn't appeal therefore I will continue to look at other real media text and try to use a better layout for my final version of my content page. |
Title: Exclusive Interview
with Mr Rozay Roy himself
Quote: “had the right ideas,
and all the wrong stores timing is everything, rhyming is
everything”
How did your career
begin?
After being signed to Suave
House records, Former Label for Rup duo 8Ball &MJG, he eventually signed a
deal with Slip-n-Slide Records, which has been under the Def. Jam umbrella for
some time since 2006. While signed to Slip-n-Slide, Ross toured with fellow
rapper Trick daddy and made host performance on other Slip-n-Slide
albums.
How did it
progress?
I made my first Album 2006
called Port of London which was released in August 2006 and debuted to top spot
on the Billboard 200 album chart which was a proud moment for me as it was my
very first, During that time I made guest performances on two singles from DJ
Khaled’s debut Listen the Album: Born-N-Change and Holla at Me. I then made my
second album Trilla which was released and debuted at the top of the Billboard
200 again. After that I produce my one of my favourite album Teflon Don which
was released on July 6 2012 and then lead to my single Super High featuring
Ne-yo. Also I finally produced my latest album God Forgives, I Don’t which was
released at July 31 2012 which is still in stores and has already sold 218,000
copies during the first week when it got
released.
Who inspired you to be a
rapper?
I was influenced by my favourite artists like
Luter Campbell and the Notorious B.I.G. I then formed local rap group called the
“Carol City Cartel” and began
rapping in the mid- 90s. I then took his rap name from Los Angeles drug kingpin
“Freeway” Rick Ross who ran one of the largest crack cocaine distribution
networks in the country during the 80s and early
90s.
What is your
background/history like?
Well.... My real name is William
Leonard Edwards II was born in Coahoma Country, Mississippi and I was raised in
Carol City, Florida near Miami. After graduating from Carol City Senior High
School, then later attended the historical black college Albant State University
on a football scholarship. I the hit the stage with the name from the drug
trafficker“Freeway” Rick Ross but have no connection to him and changed it to Rozay Roy . However in January 2008,
I was arrested on gun and marijuana charges. During a deposition of
Officer Rey Hernandez, a Miami Beach cop who arrested me, my lawyer, Allan
Zamren asked Hernandez why cases my assigned to the gang task force. The officer
stated that it was because Ross claimed affiliation with Carol City Cartel and
other known gang members. Zamren then pressed Hernandez for a personal link
between Me and the gang members, but ultimately one could not be
established.
What was your relationship
like with other artists ?
Well, In January 2008, I
started a feud with the rapper “50 Cent because he look at him in a rude way at
the Bet awards. 50 Cent then told the news sources that he did not remember
seeing Ross there. In the late January, “Mafia Music” by me was leaked onto the
Internet that causes me to lose million pound but still managed to get to the
Billboard and become #5. There was severing line that seemed to dis 50 cent.
Days later, 50 cent released “Officer Rickey (Go head, try me)” in response to
my disparaging remarks on his “Mafia Music”
song.
